This subtopic covers specification of interfaces that allow the modules within the system of systems to interact. These interfaces often leverage standards for learning technology integration.
Interfaces need not be technology-based. They may also be defined as organizational protocols, i.e. how people within an organization interact, or as pedagogical protocols, i.e. communication between instructors and learners for carrying out a certain pedagogical method with fidelity. For example, how teachers interact with students while employing the Socratic method could be understood as an interface standard with a designed pattern of interactions, predictable kinds of data to be exchangedm and a defined set of rules, e.g.
